The best place to find out more about us in the FCH By-Laws. After reading our by-laws, if you have more questions, please request someone contact you. If you are ready to sign up, let's go!
What is your Statement of Faith? Is everyone welcome?
While we welcome people from different faiths, or no faith at all, we seek to use FCH co-op for an opportunity to share the gospel. When we are attending all co-op functions we will adhere to the beliefs listed in our Statement of Faith and our words and actions will mirror such.
What classes do you provide for students?
Classes vary each year due to the needs of the students involved as well as the parents who are ready to step in and lead the class or help out. Past classes for elementary students have included art, music, Spanish, PE. For junior high students: homesteading, STEAM, art, Spanish, geography, choir. For high school students: geography, science experiments, economics, speech, shop. Take a look at the tentative class offerings for this Fall.
What does a typical day at co-op look like?
We all gather together for opening assembly starting at 9am. We practice our memory verse, say pledges to the U.S. and Christian flags, have announcements and pray. Students are dismissed by class to go with their teachers. Students have 3 classes and recess. Then around 11:45pm we meet back together for closing assembly. By 12:00pm everyone is headed home. Take a look at the tentative schedule for this Fall.
As a parent, what will I be expected to do?
Expectations are more fully described in our by-laws. Please give them a read!
Do you give grades or credit for students?
Not at all! Grades, credits, transcripts, etc. are all under your discretion as the homeschool teacher. At FCH, we just join together for enrichment. We are not a school nor do we provide curricula for your student.
